Monday, 3rd December
This week we are looking at the letters e, h and l in phonics. In the provision we will be practising our phonic skills by writing a letter to Father Christmas at our ‘elf school’ station and labelling presents.
This week we are reading Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler’s ‘Stickman’, prompted by the children’s fascination with twigs and leaves in the outdoor classroom. The children will make their own 'stick man' and take them on an adventure, which they will retell in their own words.
In mathematics we will be focusing on shape, space and measures by looking at 3D shapes. The children will explore 3D shapes in the provision and go on a shape hunt around the school.
We are looking forward to meeting lots of Grandparents at the Tea and Tinsel event on Friday.
